Kotlyarevsky, 2008. - Issue 23 .- 232 p. The guitar as a unique sound image of the world remained on the periphery of scientific interests for quite a long time. Serious investigations into the historical fate of the instrument, the genre and style richness of the composer?s work in various national schools and cultural contexts in domestic musicology were extremely rare. Since the mid-90s of the last century, the inter performers? interest in studying the history and practice of the classical guitar has become a sign of the times and subsequently a separate direction of interpretology has appeared - guitarist - the inexhaustible source of which, its unchanging object is the process of making music on the guitar. The collection, for the first time in the history of Ukrainian musicology, combines scientific research on the guitar and guitar art. Separate sections highlight the main areas of guitar studies. The theoretical section consists of articles on general issues - understanding the process of guitar formation, the principles of the genre system, instrumental thinking and modern views on performance. The second section reflects the features of guitar (and lute) compositions in historical projection: from works for the baroque lute to conceptual postmodernist tendencies in the interpretation of the instrument. The authors of the articles demonstrate an analytical approach and a special point of view on the phenomena of guitar art of the 18th-21st centuries. The artist?s personality is the conceptual core of the third - interpretative - section, which considers the positions of performing arts from the basic principles of creativity to scientific definitions.
